In the Pursuit of Joy

On a typical Saturday you might find me washing piles of clothes, cooking up delicious meals that have been carefully planned and shopped for or picking up a discarded pair of socks or a crumpled shirt.

I will also be smoothing out the bedsheets and plumping up cushions, and generally busying around before perhaps heading out to do a spot of gardening or visiting a friend or relative.   Continue reading “In the Pursuit of Joy”

Build a Strong Mind

Human happiness is a fascinating topic, and not least the dimensions of our being that contribute to said happiness.

I’ve pondered and chewed over what it is that makes some people happy with so little, and others who seemingly ‘have it all’, so miserable? and a million other questions that continue to drive my curiosity and appetite for answers.  Here’s what I found… Continue reading “Build a Strong Mind”

All of my stories are true; my life, experiences, and what I’ve learnt.  I’m a work-in-progress, I’m not perfect but I’m listening and learning along the way.

What does hope mean to you?  For me it means there’s a chance. It means I believe there’s a chance, a way, that things can be different or that I can see things differently.  It’s means there’s still a good reason to try, to keep going. Continue reading “Once upon a time, there was me… Part 3”
